Drepung Loseling Building Fund
Help us establish a home for our teachers & monks
On October 22, 2007, His Holiness the Dalai Lama consecrated Drepung Loseling’s new property, beginning a dream of creating a “Little Tibet in Atlanta” with a Center and a nearby residence for our teachers and touring monks. Thanks to the generous support of many individuals, we were able to build the Center to provide meditation and Buddhist programs to benefit our community as well as to share and preserve the ancient Tibetan spiritual traditions and education in India.
As the cost of housing in the Brookhaven area has increased rapidly in recent years, we are currently looking to purchase or build a suitable home for our teachers and monks of the Mystical Arts of Tibet tours near our Center to complete creating a "Little Tibet in Atlanta". Therefore, we are needing your support once again to help us complete this dream. This will enable Drepung Loseling to provide regular services like prayers and programs to benefit our community as well as provide a long term stability and better management of our Center's facilities and resources in the future.
We estimate we will need approximately $750,000 to purchase or build a home approximately 4,000 sq. ft. in the Brookhaven area. Your tax-deductible contribution to help us purchase the property next door or another property within walking distance from our Center is greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping to provide a nearby home for our teachers and touring monks and joining Drepung Loseling in fulfilling its vision to serve the community and preserve Tibet’s culture and spiritual legacy of wisdom and compassion for inner peace and global healing.
