The Foundation Series
January 26 - May 10, 2008

Taught by

Geshe Lobsang Tenzin

Saturdays, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

After offering the five-part Foundation Series for many years, Drepung Loseling has recognized a need to redesign the series to better suit those new to Buddhist meditation. The new Foundation Series will cover the foundational practices common to all three “yanas” or vehicles. It will begin with an “Introduction to Buddhism” and continue with retreats on four universal Buddhist meditation practices.

For students who have completed the Foundation Series, we have also created a five-part Intermediate Series, which will begin with an “Introduction to Mahayana Buddhism” and then cover four essential Mahayana meditations.

As was the case with the original Foundation Series, these two series have been designed in consultation with Kyabje Rizong Rinpoche.

The new Foundation Series will be offered by Geshe Lobsang Tenzin beginning on January 26 and continuing on the second Saturday of each month, from 10am-4pm.
