Dr. Khenrab Gyamtso

Vice Principal and Senior Lecturer of the Men Tsee Khang Tibetan Medical College of Dharamsala, India, Dr. Khenrab Gyamtso, will be giving a talk on the medical benefits of ancient Tibetan medicine and medical practices on the current illnesses that plague our modern world. Dr. Gyamtso will share testimonies of patients who have benefited from these treatments and show clinical proof of the reduction and, in some cases, the eradication of life threatening diseases treated through his methods.
FREE and open to the public.
Dr. Gyamtso has also extended his stay in Atlanta and will be available for additional personal consultations.
At Emory University, he is co-teaching a course with Geshe Lobsang Tenzin and Dr. Chikako Ozawa-de Silva on “Contemplative Science, Health and Buddhist Philosophy” and providing an introduction to Tibetan medicine over a period of six weeks. He will also be speaking at several public events at Emory University during his stay.
 

Originally from Kumbum, Tibet, Dr. Khenrab Gyamtso has been a senior lecturer at the Men Tsee Khang Tibetan Medical College of Dharamsala, India for the past 12 years and has achieved the Menrapa degree, the highest degree in Tibetan Medicine. He is an internationally renowned physician with patients throughout the Indian & Tibetan communities of northern India as well as patients in Switzerland, Austria, France, Germany and England. Dr. Gyamtso has provided medical lectures and courses throughout Europe and has recently been invited to found a Tibetan Medicine Therapy Center in Lausanne, Switzerland. He is the author of one of the best selling books in Europe on Tibetan medicine called Tibetishe Medizin (currently available in German translation only).
