White Tara Empowerment

A Tibetan Tantric Buddhist Ceremony
to Enhance Health and Happiness

 with
His Eminence Gonsa Rinpoche
Saturday, March 29, 2025
10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Translation by Geshe Tsewang Punchok
In-Person Only

White Tara is the feminine form of the Buddha of compassion. The name
literally translated means ''One Who Saves," because of her commitment to save sentient beings from suffering. As the embodiment of enlightened compassion and activity, she nurtures the beings with her blessings of health, peace, and longevity.

There are two ways to participate in this ceremony:

1.
Receive the empowerment to practice the White Tara sadhana:

•  You must have taken Refuge in the Three Jewels or;
•  Must be a buddhist practitioner with an ongoing practice who will take Refuge in the Three Jewels during this empowerment

2.
Receive a blessing of White Tara without the taking of refuge vows

All participants must only eat a vegetarian meal prior to the empowerment
(no eggs, no meats, dairy ok).

Please bring a khata if you would like to receive a personal blessing from H.E. Gonsa Rinpoche after the empowerment. Khatas are available for sale in the gift shop.

This event is in person only.  Seating is limited.

His Eminence Gonsa Rinpoche was born in 1978 in a Tibetan refugee settlement in Mundgod, India. At the age of five, he was recognized by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama as the 5th reincarnation of the esteemed 18th-century Tibetan master and abbot of the renowned Gonsa Monastery in eastern Tibet. At eight, he received his novice ordination from His Holiness the Dalai Lama and, that same year, began his monastic training at Drepung Losel Ling Monastery in South India. An exceptionally gifted student, Gonsa Rinpoche completed his studies with top honors, earning the Geshe Lharampa degree (the highest academic distinction in Tibetan Buddhism) in 2013. He was also awarded the Ngagrampa degree from Gyumed Tantric University in 2014. After his studies, Rinpoche traveled globally, offering teachings, initiations, and spiritual guidance to students in India and abroad, including Taiwan, Japan, Europe, Mexico, and the United States.
