Drepung Loseling Monastery is honored to announce the upcoming visit of H.E. Gaden Tripa Rizong Rinpoche, who will be coming to Drepung Loseling and staying with us from October 1 to November 16, 2010. Rinpoche has visited us several times in the past, but this will be the first time he is visiting since assuming the position of Gaden Tripa, the holder of the throne of Je Tsongkhapa, and supreme head of the Gelug lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. |

| Please see the schedule below of teachings and empowerments Rinpoche will be offering while he is with us. In honor of Rinpoche’s first visit with us as Gaden Tri Rinpoche, we are offering all of these teachings and empowerments FREE to Drepung Loseling Monastery members.* The fees for non-members are noted below. A personal teacher offering to Rinpoche is still encouraged, as in accord with the tradition. |

| Given that it is very rare to receive a visit by a teacher of Rinpoche's stature, most of the events we have requested are empowerments, as you will see in the schedule. These empowerments require a basic degree of understanding and familiarity with Tibetan Buddhist practices. Please check to see whether you have sufficient background to benefit from these empowerments. |

| **Chakrasamvara and Vajrayogini empowerments and teachings are of the most advanced level and are not open to the public. Participants should have developed sufficient background in Buddhist philosophy and in other meditation practices for some time before attending these empowerments.
