From
time to time along their tours the monks have had the opportunity
to offer such ceremonies for individuals or their families.
These rituals range from a few hours to several days in length,
depending on their complexity. Their purpose is to bring well-being
on all levels – in one’s health, relationships,
business, and family – as well as to purify the home where
the ritual is conducted. Multi-day engagements can include the
construction of beautiful Tibetan sand mandalas and their associated
rituals. Some mandala examples are the Medicine Buddha for healing,
the Akshobhya Buddha for protection, or the female Buddha Tara
for enlightened activities, success in one’s projects,
and health. |
|
Such ceremonies purify the elements of the environment which
helps those living or visiting there to experience good health,
success and well-being. The ceremonies can also be individualized
according to need and are donation-based. All donations go to
Drepung Loseling Monastery in exile in India to preserve and
keep vibrant the legacy and spiritual tradition of Tibet. All
donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. |
