By accessing or using Drepung.org or Drepung Loseling Monastery, Inc. owned and operated websites or properties (collectively “DLMI”, “we”, “us” or “our”) or and the information and services we provide, you acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to be bound to all the terms and conditions of this policy.
Drepung Loseling Monastery, Inc. (collectively “DLMI”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects our users and their privacy and is committed to protecting the privacy of all users of this website or DLMI owned or operated websites according to DLMI Terms of Use. DLMI owned websites include but not limited to, drepung.org, mysticartsoftibet.org, tibetantraditions.com, drepungloseling.org and any other websites owned and controlled or operated by DLMI. Our Privacy Policy does not apply to entities not owned by nor controlled by us, such as third-party platforms/providers and other websites that may have “Drepung Loseling” used in their name but not owned nor controlled by DLMI.

Information Collected and How
DLMI may collect your personal information only when you voluntarily provide it to us. Your information may be collected through our website(s), by phone or in-person, on-site mailing list sign-ups or through DLMI’s third-party service providers, fundraising affiliates and payment providers like MyNewsletterBuilder, Zoom, iGive.com, PayPal, Stripe, and Square when making a donation, purchasing products, registering for programs, becoming a member, subscribing to our newsletters, completing survey’s, etc. Information collected may include, but not limited to, name, email address, physical address, phone number, other personal information, content of messages and comments, and transactional information such as credit card and billing data and inform related to a particular transaction. DLMI’s third-party platforms/providers such as MyNewsletterBuilder (MNB) may collect site activity, access device, browser type, locations, IP address, pages visited, cookies and other similar information and provide such information to DLMI.
Signing Up for Our Newsletter
We use a third-party service provider, MyNewsletterBuilder (“MNB”), to send and manage our email and marketing campaigns and announcements related to our programs, services, products and events we offer to our users. Users may subscribe to our email newsletters through MNB’s website, you will be presented with a secure form in which you will be asked to provide Personal Information, which includes your email address and contact information you can choose to provide and you will be asked to select your mailing preferences based on your area of interest. Any information you submit through this secured form is provided directly by you to MNB and is also subject to MNB’s privacy policy and terms of use. We have a data processing agreement in place with MNB and have access to such Personal Information and process the Personal Information for the purpose of providing information, programs, products and services to our users. Users may make changes and opt out at any time from receiving newsletters from DLMI by unsubscribing.
How the Information is Used and Shared
We may use and share the Personal Information we collect directly or through third-party providers or other sources for a range of reasons, including:
To complete online donations, purchase, membership, sponsorship, program registration or other purposes you had provided the information to us.
To inform users about DLMI’s programs, news, events, conduct surveys and polls.
To pass on information or announcements such as programs from other third-party organizations like Emory University’s Center for Contemplative Science and Compassion-Based Ethics that may be of interest to you. We do not share your personal information with such third-party organizations but may include a link to such organization. Any links are provided only as a convenience and do not imply any endorsement of another site. DLMI is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites, so please check the privacy policies of those websites before providing your personal information.

To manage, fulfill, access and improve services provided by DLMI and all DLMI projects/programs such as the Mystical Arts of Tibet, Drepung Loseling Educational Fund, Tibetan Traditions.

To communicate with you about your account, membership, sponsorship or information through postal or electronic mailings.
To share your information for other purposes with your consent.
To meet legal requirements, including complying with court orders, valid discovery requests, valid subpoenas, and other appropriate legal mechanisms where we have a good faith belief that a response is required.

Donations and Payments
We use third party processing services such as PayPal, Stripe, Square and PNC Bank (collectively “payment processor” to process online donations and payments to DLMI made electronically through links to the secured sites of our payment processors from our website or through other third-party services we use like Livestream, Vimeo, DonorBox. If you choose to make a donation or payment through these links, you will be transferred to a secured form. Any information you submit via our website(s), streaming and social media platforms is provided by you to the payment processor and is subject to their privacy policy and terms of use. PayPal and Stripe will provide us with certain information about you (including your name, billing address, email address, donation/payment amount, whether the donation is made in honor or in memory of someone, and the purpose for the donation/payment and additional notes or comments if applicable, but not your credit card number) when you choose to make an online donation to DLMI through these payment processors.
Social Media
When you access or interact with Drepung Loseling Monastery, Inc. through a social media service such as Facebook or Instagram, we may have visibility to your profile name and other information you have made public in connection with that particular social media service. The social media companies may collect and share anonymous aggregate metrics with us regarding use, such as the total number of clicks, shares, users’ demographics (e.g., age range, gender, location). These social media companies are not operated by Drepung Loseling Monastery, Inc. so the use of their services is governed by the privacy policies of the social media companies.

DLMI and all websites owned and operated by DLMI do not use cookies nor tracking technologies. However, our third-party service providers such as MyNewsletterBuilder may use various technologies to collect and store information when you use their services, and this may include using cookies and similar tracking technologies, such as pixels and web beacons. The use of cookies allows third-party provider to keep track of your information, prevents you from having to reenter your information at each connection and provide information to us that helps us optimize your experience by delivering targeted content to you based on your interest or needs. Our websites include links to other websites, whose privacy practices may be different from ours. How the Information Is Stored and Protected
We take many precautions to safeguard and secure your information from unauthorized access by using industry-standard security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. DLMI use firewalls to protect our services and use virus/intrusion detection software and secure layer technology (SSL) to encrypt user’s information. Despite our best efforts, there are risks inherent in sharing information. We cannot control actions of other users with whom you share your information. We cannot guarantee but make every attempt to limit only authorized persons will view your information to provide.
You can reduce your risk and protect your information by using security practices such as choosing a strong password, using different passwords for different services, using up-to-date antivirus software, use trusted and secure password protected internet connection. You can also report any security violations to us at center@drepung.org.
Children and Privacy
DLMI’s websites are intended to be accessible and enjoyed by general audiences age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13, without first obtaining prior verifiable consent with parent or legal guardian. If a visitor known to be a child sends an email to DLMI, we will only use it to respond to the writer and not to create profiles or otherwise retain the information. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that your child under the age of 13 has provided personal information to us, you may contact us to request this information be deleted.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) Our websites, contents and services are intended to be used generally by individuals age 18 and older. We do not knowingly allow any users under the age of thirteen to use our service without the express consent of the parent or legal guardian. Drepung Loseling Monastery, Inc. is based in the United States. Our services are provided globally using computer systems, servers, and databases located in the U.S. and other countries. When you use our services from outside of the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. Please note that U.S. data and privacy laws may not be as comprehensive as those in your country. Residents of certain countries may be subject to additional protections as set forth below.

We also fulfill our obligations in response to direct requests. We will endeavor to process requests within one month. We reserve the right to request appropriate identification. We will process requests free of charge unless they would impose an unreasonable cost on us. At this time, we do not engage in this type of disclosure. In addition, you have the right to request a copy of your personal information. You may exercise this right once per 12-month period.
Right to Delete. You have the right to request that we delete some or all of the personal information that we have about you. Deleting all data will typically require the deletion of your account. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we may retain information to provide services you have ordered, complete transactions, honor opt-outs, prevent fraud, spam, and other abuse, comply with our legal obligations, cooperate with law enforcement, and to exercise and defend our rights. You may exercise your right to delete your information by contacting us at center@drepung.org.
Do Not Sell. You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information, and to request information about whether we have sold your personal information in the past 12 months. DLMI do not sell personal information, and we have never done so. If we begin to do so, we will update this notice and provide a mechanism to opt out of any such sale.
Non-Discrimination. We won’t discriminate against you because you exercise any rights herein. To exercise your rights to know and delete, we must be able to verify your identity as the owner of the DLMI account you are inquiring about. We may not be able to fulfill your request until we can do so. In general, we verify identity by confirming that you are the owner of the email address associated with the account. An authorized agent submitting a request on your behalf must also have access to the email address associated with the account, along with sufficient evidence that you have authorized that person to submit the request on your behalf. Although you need not have a DLMI account to submit a request, we may not be able to locate certain information to process your request if you don’t have one.
Nevada Users
Nevada residents have the right to opt out of the sale of certain "covered information" collected by operators of websites or online services. We currently do not sell covered information, as "sale" is defined by such law nor do we have any plans to sell this information. You are responsible for updating any change in your email address by the same method and we are not obligated to cross-reference other emails you may have otherwise provided us for other purposes. We will maintain this information and inform you of any changes to this policy directly or by updating this policy on our website. At that time, we will create a process for verifying your identity and providing an opportunity to verified consumers to complete their opt-out. Governing Laws, Jurisdiction, Commencement of Actions
This privacy policy and the interpretation of this privacy policy will be governed by and construed under the laws of the state of Georgia, without regard to its conflicts of laws principles, and will specifically not be governed by the United Nations conventions on contracts for the International sale of goods, if otherwise applicable. By using this site, you agree that the jurisdiction over and access thereof, or this Privacy Policy shall be in the applicable state or federal courts located in Atlanta, GA. You hereby consent and submit to the exclusive personal jurisdiction and venue of the applicable state and federal courts located in Atlanta, GA for any such legal proceeding. You agree that any cause of action or claim you may have with respect to the site must be commenced within one year after such claim or cause of action arises or else you agree you have waived any such claim.
