The
Intermediate Level Foundation Series |
The Intermediate Series surveys the most essential teachings and
meditations of Mahayana Buddhism and serves as a general prerequisite
for more advanced retreats. Taught by Geshe Ngawang Phende, all
five retreats take place on the first Saturday of the month. |

“Basics
of Meditation" and "Exploring Buddhism"
Weekly Sessions with Geshe Lobsang Tenzin |
Our
Spiritual Director Geshe Lobsang Tenzin leads the “Basics
of Meditation” sessions on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 12:00
noon, and gives public talks on "Exploring Buddhism"
each Tuesday evening from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Both are free
and open to the public. The Basics of Meditation sessions include
a talk on the benefits of meditation and how to engage in it,
followed by a guided meditation and question and answer session.
The Exploring Buddhism talks begin with brief chanting, a guided
meditation, and a talk on a topic of Buddhist theory and practice.
All are welcome.

Conversational
Tibetan - Aug 7 to Sep 25 |
| Taught
by Tsepak Rigzin, this course will be based on selected themes aimed
at gaining some basic conversational skills in Tibetan. Students should
have some prior instruction in Tibetan and the ability to read Tibetan. |
